Rush organised for 42 children from the East Tamaki, Ardmore Marist, Pakuranga, Papatoetoe, Manurewa and Manukau rugby clubs to receive the boots, while adidas kindly provided the footwear. All Blacks Sam Cane, Wyatt Crockett, Ben Franks, Tamati Ellison, Julian Savea, Conrad Smith, Adam Thomson and Piri Weepu were on hand to present the boots, shake hands, sign autographs and have photos with the excited kids.
"It was cool to get to South Auckland and do that for the kids out there. They were buzzing when they got their own flash, new pair of adidas boots and it was awesome for the boys to spend some time with them," Weepu said.
