Springboks delay announcement for touring squad

A try off a charge down by Frans Steyn enabled the Springboks to 'snatch' the draw, and while there are concerns that the team looks flat after starting the season promisingly against England, Meyer said there would be no knee jerk reactions.
"It is easy to throw players out and pick new ones, but that is not coaching, that is picking," he said.
"I have been in this position a few times during my career as a coach and the easiest thing to do is just drop players, but that will not move the Springboks forward.
Meyer also reminded all and sundry that it was a time of transition for the Springboks, having lost plenty of experience - with only Bryan Habana, Jean de Villiers, Morne Steyn and Jannie du Plessis the survivors from the South African team that lost 11-9 to the Wallabies in the Rugby World Cup.
Former captains in John Smit and Victor Matfield have retired, first choice captains Schalk Burger and Juan Smith are injured, other experienced players like Jaque Fourie, Fourie du Preez and Danie Rossouw play overseas, while further injuries have robbed them of players like JP Pietersen and Pierre Spies.
"We have already lost a lot of leadership and then you would be throwing out what little experience you have got," Meyer said.
"I knew it would be very tough in my first year with the Springboks because of the inexperience of the team, and a lot of them were playing their first test away from home.
"Our performance in Argentina was not good enough, it was unacceptable and I was very disappointed, but people underestimate the Pumas, virtually their whole team plays in Europe and they are very experienced."
The Springboks will have an open training session at Orlando Stadium, scheduled to start at 3pm local time with free admission.
