Not only would they like to get bragging rights early by downing the Chiefs, but perhaps would like a touch of revenge, with the Waikato based franchise the last side to beat the Highlanders at their state-of-the-art home 27-21 in 2012 - a defeat that had serious reprucussions for the Highlanders playoff hopes.
With their first home game this weekend the Zoo is getting ready to party, with tickets for the Zoo able to be purchased from Starters Bar or Leith Liquorland
The ZOO is the place to be for all students and party goers. Located at the West End of Forsyth Barr Stadium, the ZOO is a party zone that caters for 18+ Highlanders fans who want to have some ‘fun at the footy’.
The Zoo Keeper will keep the beats rolling in his DJ box. You will find him wearing his beige safari suit, ready to tame the lions, monkeys and maybe even girls braving the elements!
Not forgetting the family, Ronald McDonald will be making a few appearances during the season, check out the official Highlanders website for more information.
