Crusaders welcome back Read, celebrate Ellis' milestone

Head Coach Todd Blackadder has announced the team to play the Blues with only one change to the team that bet the Brumbies in Canberra two weeks ago. Kieran Read who has been out with a toe injury for 7 weeks returns to the number eight jersey moving Luke Whitelock to the bench.
The game will be a special occasion for Andy Ellis as he mark’s his 100th Super Rugby cap. Ellis started his Super Rugby career in 2006 and has since clocked up 8 seasons with the Crusaders, 26 All Blacks test caps, 2 Super Rugby titles, 3 ITM Cup titles and a World Cup.
Saturday’s game is also known as The Day of the Sword, where 3,000 fans will receive sword giveaways. Fans are encouraged to wield their swords, protect their fortress and cheer on our Crusaders. Tickets are still available and can be purchased through Ticket Direct (ticketdirect.co.nz or 0800 224 224) or from The Warehouse. Tickets start from as little as $16 for Adults and $7.50 for kids 14years and under (plus service fees).
Fans are reminded that there will be a free direct bus service to the game at AMI Stadium. The Rugby Express park and ride service will run from Northwood Supa Centre, The Hub Hornby, The Palms, Beresford Street (via New Brighton and Eastgate) and Merivale Mall, returning rugby fans back to their base after the game.
