However Hansen has said that, like always, he didn't expect international players to be firing from the onset, saying that there was a time and a place where Test stars would stand up and perform.
More importantly, players being within the All Blacks scene would begin to realise what was about to happen next - with France approximately a week or two from landing on our shores from a much anticipated rematch over three Tests - the first since the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
The All Blacks coach said that they were confident considering the results of the training camps last season.
"We knew it worked last time because they all went back and played well," he said.
"So they'll get enthusiastic about the weekend, most of the new guys will be really excited because it's the first time they've been involved with the All Blacks.
"And the old faces they enjoy the place."
