To raise awareness of Waikids, the Chiefs will be wearing a one-off playing kit branded with Waikids. Waikids is the combination of Waikato DHB’s child and youth health services under the one umbrella. They are dedicated to maintaining wellness and preventing sickness from the day a child is born until the day they turn 18.
Some of the limited edition jerseys will be sold and auctioned off through a variety of channels. To reward fans attending the match, four jerseys will be sold off at the game from the merchandise stand on each side of the stadium in a first in first served basis for $300 each. Three will be auctioned off in the Chiefs hospitality lounges, one will be sold on trade me and one will be donated to Waikids.
Tickets to the match are selling fast and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. Tickets for the Chiefs match at Waikato Stadium start from as little as $12 for Adults and $5 for kids 14 years and under $5 (plus service fees). Kids 4 years and under are free on the knee. Kick off is at 7.35pm and gates open at 5.50pm.
Tickets are available from Gate One at Waikato Stadium from each Monday of game week from 8am till 6pm until game day with map seating locations on site for viewing. Fans are strongly encouraged to get to the ground early for the Friday night clash. The Chiefs and the Waikato Regional Council will run a free bus on game night. Buses start from 6pm from Hood St to the Stadium and back to Hood St after the match and leave approximately every 15minutes.
