NZU20 team beat Australia in close game     10 Jun 2013    

The match was a typically close trans-tasman encounter with New Zealand scoring the only try in the first half, when blindside flanker Joseph Edwards crossed for a five pointer. New Zealand first five-eighth Simon Hickey added three penalties to give his team a 14-3 lead at halftime.

Australian replacement Luke Burton crossed for a try in the 59th minute to open the second half scoring, and this try was converted to close the gap to 14-10. The last 20 minutes was a real arm wrestle with the final score remaining unchanged at 14-10 to New Zealand.

New Zealand Under 20 team take on Ireland in their third round Pool B match on Friday 14 June (NZT).
