Coach Warren Gatland has bolstered his forward pack and recalled Wales battering ram Jamie Roberts in the midfield - a clear sign the tourists will attempt to outmuscle the Wallabies.
But Bowe says it will take more than brute force to beat Robbie Deans' men.
"I think that we have to play rugby," Bowe said on Friday.
"Last week we did so much defending and we were on the back foot an awful lot.
"When we had the ball we kicked it away and we maybe regained it but made an unforced error, so I think that this week if we can play the rugby we can certainly do a lot of damage.
"Certainly with the players we've got in this team, there's huge ball carriers there and if we can hold onto the ball and keep battering over the top of the Aussies hopefully we can do a bit of damage."
The Lions' have never lost four consecutive series in their proud 125-year history.
Bowe says the current side are desperate to stop the rot and avoid entering the record books for the wrong reasons.
"There's a huge amount of emotion in this squad at the minute, we realised it's 16 years since we last won a Lions series," Bowe said.
"The excitement and the hype over the last match, with everybody hoping to go on and finish it off with a 2-0 series win would have been an amazing way to go.
"And then the disappointment of losing out to a try in the last six minutes, it was heartbreaking and we've taken a lot from that and we've regrouped and I think we'll leave everything out on the pitch tomorrow."
