As is the custom of the All Blacks Sevens when successful at the end of a tournament, they remove their jerseys for a unique rendition of the Haka.

It inspired plenty of light hearted reaction across the internet.

All major news sources across the world picked up on the Haka, with no less than roughly 3,000 outlets around the world reporting on the 'event'.

Meanwhile New Zealand Rugby's social media accounts recorded record results.

The All Blacks Facebook image of the Haka was seen by just under 600,000 people, attracting 23,046 Likes, 1,838 Shares and 314 comments.

The official New Zealand Sevens Twitter account broke past the 7,000 follower mark by picking up a remarkable 502 extra fans over the Hong Kong weekend, while the All Blacks main Twitter page surged to 303,776, and increase of nearly 2K through the action.

The Hashtags Haka, HongKong7s, All Blacks and Rainingmen were viral for over 24 hours.

For the record, New Zealand defeated England 26-7 in the Cup Final.

The eight round of the series is in Glasgow on 3-4 May 2014.

The All Blacks Sevens lead the series with 136 points, with South Africa (129), Fiji (112) and England (104) rounding out the top four.
