All Blacks Sevens defeat Australia in #Glasgow7 quarter-final

With rain trickling down, the All Blacks Sevens renowned wet weather pressure game came to the fore against their trans-Tasman rivals.
Tries to Tim Mikkelson and Scott Curry in the first half was followed by what was effectively the match winner when Ben Lam crossed a couple of minutes into the second stanza.
A consolation try was scored for the men in gold via Cameron Clark.
Fiji’s 14-12 win over England sets up a classical Cup semi-final, while the Red Rose will play Australia in the plate semis.
The other semi-final will feature either host’s Scotland, South Africa, Kenya or Canada.
The All Blacks semi will be at 02:58am on May 5th (NZT).
