Following an action-packed two days at Scotstoun Stadium, which saw New Zealand beat Canada in the final, and hosts Scotland reach a first Cup semi final since 2009, we selected these seven tries as contenders for the penultimate 'fans' favourite try' of the season.

The champions have two nomination as Ben Lam and Gillies Kaka scored for the All Blacks Sevens in the final and pool stages respectively.

Connor Trainor and Luke Morgan both showed great footballing skills in the build up to their tries, and there is also a nomination for the "infamous diver" Kosuke Hashino.

Previous winners include Dan Norton in Hong Kong, Jamie Henry of Japan scored an incredible try for the hosts in the Tokyo Sevens, while Shannon Walker sprinted 100-meters to win the vote in Wellington.

Carlin Isles was the winner in Las Vegas and Fiji's Emosio Mulevoro (Dubai), Collins Injera (Australia) and Ingnacio Martin (South Africa) were also chosen from the first three rounds.

Each of the nine individual fans' favourite tries of the year will go into a fans' vote for an overall 'fans' favourite try' of the season at the end of the season. Last year Pedro Leal of Portugal won this accolade.
