2005 New Zealand Divisional XV squad named

The 24-strong squad features a total of nine players from Hawke’s Bay, five from Air New Zealand NPC Division Two runners-up Nelson Bays, three from North Otago, two from Counties Manukau, two from Wanganui, two from Marlborough and one from Manawatu.
The team will be captained by Michael Johnson of Hawke’s Bay.
New Zealand Divisional XV coach Glenn Moore said he was impressed with the quality of rugby played in this year’s Air New Zealand NPC.
“We go into the two matches in Fiji in the knowledge that we have players who played well this year,” Moore said.
The side will play against a Fiji Barbarians team on 29 October and against Fiji on 2 November.
The squad assembles in Auckland tomorrow and departs for Nadi at 8am on Thursday 27 October on Air New Zealand flight NZ58.
