Record international broadcast coverage for IRB U19s     23 Mar 2006

In addition to Sky Sport's earlier announcement of live coverage in the UK, rugby’s premier international talent-spotting event has been further buoyed by similar deals with MNET in South Africa, TV3 in New Zealand and Eurosport in France.

South African broadcaster MNET is a long time supporter of international age grade rugby and will continue its loyalty to rugby's premier talent-spotting event by showing live coverage of nine matches, while Eurosport will air the same number in France. TV3 have so far committed to airing four live games in New Zealand with a possibility of more.

A plethora of other broadcasters, both international and local to the Middle East region, could yet add to the number taking live action, while the event's exposure will be further boosted by news clips taken from both divisions of play by many stations serving rugby-playing countries around the world.

The IRB Under 19 World Championship features 24 countries competing across two divisions, and takes place in Dubai from 4-21 April.

The final schedule has been announced for the tournament, with South Africa's clashes against France and England, Wales' match against Scotland and New Zealand's encounter with rivals Australia arguably the pick of the live broadcast action from the pool stages.
