The three-match tour includes games against provincial side Salta on 1 November and 2005 Division A champions Tucuman on 4 November, and ends with an international against Argentina A on 11 November.

Thames Valley coach Ross Cooper and his Wairarapa Bush counterpart Peter Russell have been confirmed as the coaches.

NZRU Operations Manager Neil Sorensen said the New Zealand Divisional XV side was the showcase team for players competing in the AA Rewards Heartland Championship.

“This tour is a fantastic opportunity for heartland players to challenge themselves on the international stage and I am sure that the three matches will be tough encounters,” Mr Sorensen said.

“In the past, provinces such as Hawke’s Bay and the former Nelson Bays were well represented but their elevation to the Air New Zealand Cup means that we will see the emergence of a new wave of players,” he added.

The New Zealand Divisional XV team will be named at the end of the AA Rewards Heartland Championship.
