All Blacks team to play France     15 Nov 2006

The starting XV is the strongest available according to Henry: “Based on form, this is our best team right now,” said Henry, “although that can change week to week.”

Henry added that the centre pairing was in part an effort to fit the team’s best performers on the field: “Ma’a has been selected on form, Leon was very good at fullback on Saturday and Mils has been exceptional at centre for the All Blacks before,” Henry said. “We wanted them all in the side.”

The All Blacks coach noted that Andrew Hore and Nick Evans were included in the reserves because the selectors would like the pair to have more playing time if possible.

All members of the 32-man squad are free of major injury and were available for selection.
