Junior All Blacks looking forward to playing at Carisbrook     07 Jun 2007

Junior All Blacks Co-coach Colin Cooper is urging rugby followers to come out and support the team on 16 June.

“This is our only home match of the year and it will be fantastic to play in front of a packed Carisbrook,” Cooper said.

“We are delighted to be playing in Dunedin again and I’m sure the fans will come out and support us. Matches between New Zealand and Australian teams always produce outstanding rugby and this game is a great opportunity to watch two top teams in action.”

The Junior All Blacks beat Japan at Carisbrook in last year’s inaugural IRB Pacific 5 Nations tournament. The competition was expanded this year with the inclusion of Australia A, which is captained by Wallaby Test lock Al Campbell. Australia A beat Tonga 60–15 in the opening round and play Samoa on Saturday 2 June.

The Junior All Blacks v Australia A match kicks off at 4.30pm and will be preceded by a marchpast of Otago junior teams.

Tickets are available from the Canterbury Shop, Champions of the World, the Edgar Centre, the ORFU office at Carisbrook, by phoning 0800 CARISBROOK or online at
