Rudi Wulf

At just 20 years of age Wulf was already in the Blues squad, New Zealand Sevens and Colts teams when a freak swimming pool accident left him with a fractured vertebrae in his neck.

After 11 months on the sidelines, Wulf returned to play for North Harbour in 2006 and had an impressive season. He then went on to play 12 of 14 matches for the Blues in the 2007 Rebel Sport Super 14.

The star finisher for New Zealand’s world-champion Under 21 side settled into a role in North Harbour’s lethal backline. The Sevens star has electric speed and a dangerous side-step off either foot, and will provide the valuable ability to create opportunities in counter-attack.

Wulf was a member of two New Zealand Under 21 World Champion teams in 2003 and 2004.
