Scott Waldrom made his name as a tearaway openside flanker for Taranaki, the Hurricanes and the Chiefs from 2004-2012. Waldrom made one appearance for the All Blacks in the historic encounter against Munster in 2008. As a sevens specialist, Waldrom played for the All Blacks Sevens from 2004-10. Waldrom has now turned his hand to coaching and continues to be involved in rugby from the grassroots up.

After fighting back from a serious foot injury, Waldron has shown great high form in the number seven jersey in 2008, both for the Hurricanes and Taranaki.
His pace allows him to get to the breakdown faster than most and he has the skill and size once there to secure the ball or create a turnover.
His exceptional handling and attacking skills saw him picked for the New Zealand Sevens side in 2002 and 2007 and he has played alongside brother Thomas in Hurricanes and New Zealand Maori sides as well as also playing Rebel Sport Super 14 rugby for the Crusaders.
