Angie Sisifa

Outstanding loose forward Angelene “Angie” Sisifa has been impressive at the provincial level for several seasons and earned a Black Ferns call up in 2015.

Sisifa has captained the Otago Spirit and is one of the team’s most experienced players. She made her Women’s Provincial Championship debut in 2011. At the end of the 2015 season, Sisifa hadn’t missed a Spirit game and had appeared 33 consecutive times in the blue and gold. Originally from Taranaki, Sisifa moved to Otago in 2008. Strong and fast, with a crisp pass, Sisifa has also turned out for Otago at the National Sevens.
