Janna Vaughan

The reliable Vaughan started playing rugby in the Manawatu and kept it up when she shifted south to Otago. She made her Women’s Provincial Championship debut for the Otago Spirit in 2007, appearing in all seven WPC matches that season at second five-eighth and played 17 matches in all before returning north.

League and kickboxing have also benefitted from Vaughan’s natural sporting ability. She has represented New Zealand in rugby league and was a national Muay Thai kickboxing champion who represented New Zealand at the world championships. She is a qualified teacher.
