Monalisa Codling has been a strong and consistent performer for the Black Ferns since making her international debut in 1998, and has won three IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup gold medals.
Mobile and a proven ball-winner, she forms an effective partnership with Auckland locking teammate Victoria Heighway.
She has also played Sevens, represented Otago in fifteens from 1996-1998 and from 1999 she has been part of the successful Auckland Storm in the national women's competition. In 2003 she was named New Zealand’s Women’s Player of the Year. This will be her fourth IRB Women's World Cup.
