Claire Corky

Claire Richardson made her Black Ferns debut in 2003 and has since earned a gold medal at the 2006 IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup and Churchill Cup wins in Canada in 2004 and 2005. In 2003 she was one of three nominees for New Zealand’s Women’s Rugby Player of the Year. She is equally outstanding with ball in hand or on defence. She is a former Hawke’s Bay Secondary Schools representative and also turned out for the province in 2001 before moving to Dunedin. She was born in Wairoa, the same town as All Blacks front rower Greg Somerville.
