Colin Slade made his All Blacks debut in 2010, on the back of an excellent season with Canterbury in the ITM Cup.
Despite a horror run with injuries in 2011, suffering two broken jaws in the same season for the Highlanders, he was named in the All Blacks squad as Dan Carter's understudy.
Slade racked up 62 points over five games for the New Zealand Under 19 side in 2006 during the IRB Under 19 World Championship. In 2007 Slade will be part of the Canterbury Development squad. A former pupil of Christchurch Boys' High School, Slade is now studying at Canterbury University and hopes to eventually work in Journalism.
