Aled de Malmanche

Aled de Malmanche made his New Zealand Maori debut against Canada in the 2007 Churchill Cup tournament.

He is rated as one of the up-and-coming front rowers in New Zealand rugby and can play hooker and prop on both sides of the scrums.

In 2007 he made his Rebel Sport 14 debut for the Chiefs.

He came up through the age grade ranks and impressed at provincial rugby level in 2006 for Waikato, winners of the inaugural Air New Zealand Cup.

He is affiliated to the Tainui iwi.

In 2009 the man affectionality referred to as Conan would become one of the form hookers in the Southern Hemisphere, working amongst a Chiefs side that created history and went all the way to the Rebel Sport Super 14 final.

He would go on to earn an All Black call up, playing two test matches and being unofficially recognised as the third ranked hooker in New Zealand rugby after incumbents and long serving rakes Andrew Hore and Keven Mealamu.
