Robbie Robinson

Robbie Robinson, from the Ngati Tuwharetoa iwi, earned a Maori All Blacks recall for the 2013 North America Tour after previously appearing for the side during the Sealord Centenary Series. Unfortunately a broken leg in 2012 restricted any possible involvement in the European Tour. He played at fullback against both USA and Canada, shared kicking duties with Andre Taylor and Ihaia West and provided 18 points as the Maori All Blacks triumphed against both their international opponents.

Robinson made his first class debut as a teenager for the Southland Stags in 2008, a year after he captained the New Zealand Schools team. In 2009 he was part of the New Zealand Under 20 side that won the Junior World Championship in Tokyo. He contributes a lot of points to his team, as a result of his sound attacking instincts and a reliable goalkicking boot.

A long-time Southland Stag, Robinson shifted to North Harbour for the 2014 ITM Cup where he was part of an improving side, while he joined the Chiefs for Investec Super Rugby in 2012 after time with the Highlanders.
