Brendon Edmonds

Hawke’s Bay prop Brendon Edmonds joined the Maori All Blacks for the first time in 2014, having developed significantly through his ITM Cup appearances for the Magpies. A powerful scrummager, Edmonds has been noted for his high workrate and reliable defence.

Having represented Hawke’s Bay at U20, U18 and U16 level, the Ngati Kuhungunu-affiliated player made his ITM Cup debut in 2012 and won the Ranfurly Shield with his province in 2013 and 2014. He was a member of the Hurricanes development team in 2013 and joined the Hurricanes wider training squad in 2014. He made his Investec Super Rugby debut against the Blues and moved to play for the Highlanders in 2014. His form has been impressive in 2015, earning him a starting place at loosehead prop in the Southerners’ highly successful campaign.
