Kara Pryor followed in family footprints when he was called into the Maori All Blacks for the first time in 2016.
Pryor is the younger brother of Maori All Black and Highlander Dan Pryor and the brothers are the grandsons of the legendary Albie Pryor who played 43 games for the team in 1952-60. He was part of the Blues development team in 2014 and 2015 and made his Investec Super Rugby debut against the Highlanders in 2016 - where he had to face off against his older brother - under Maori All Blacks Assistant Coach Tana Umaga. He missed just two Super Rugby matches last year and has had a big Mitre 10 Cup season with the Northland Taniwha.
Pryor missed the early stages of the 2017 Super Rugby team but was in the thick of things in May and finished the Blues' match against the Lions.
