Taranaki and East Coast players to face judicial hearings tomorrow
Three players will be involved in judicial hearings tomorrow following ITM Cup and Pink Batts Heartland Championship matches on the weekend:
• East Coast’s Ngarimu Simpkins was ordered off in the game against Wairarapa Bush on Saturday after receiving two yellow cards. The first followed a team warning for slowing the ball down, the second for punching a player four minutes from full time. Wairarapa Bush won 44-31.
• East Coast’s Te Rangi Fraser was ordered off in the same game after an alleged lifting tackle 15 minutes into the second half.
All three hearings will take place Wednesday 9 October via video-conference with Nigel Hampton QC. Tufavahu faces his hearing at 11.30am and the East Coast players at 12.30pm.
