Cooper, who made his debut in 2008 against Italy, today re-signed with Australian Rugby through to the end of 2014.
Acting ARU CEO, Matt Carroll AM, said he was pleased the negotiations were now finalised.
“This means Quade Cooper and the Reds can now focus entirely on the upcoming 2013 Super Rugby season,” Mr Carroll said.
“Quade can now look forward to getting back on the field next year and playing for the Reds and in turn stake his claim for re-selection in the Qantas Wallabies squad.
“Next year is an exciting year for Australian Rugby with the British & Irish Lions venturing to our shores for the first time since 2001.
“Agreeing to terms for a further two years provides Quade with an opportunity to take on one of the world’s most iconic Rugby teams.
“It is an opportunity I am sure he is looking forward to as a Reds player and potentially as a Qantas Wallaby.”
Since his debut season in 2008, Cooper has amassed 38 Test Caps with the Qantas Wallabies, 24 of which came during the 2010 and 2011 season.
After making his way back from a serious knee injury sustained during the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Cooper only managed three appearances in the gold jersey in 2012 before again being struck down with injury.
Cooper joins fellow Reds team mate, Will Genia, in re-committing to the Queensland Reds and Australian Rugby in 2012 ahead of the highly anticipated 2013 British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia.
The Lions Tour will kick off in Perth of Wednesday 5 June, with the tourists set to take on the Queensland Reds on Saturday 8 June at Suncorp Stadium, before returning to Brisbane on Saturday 22 June for the opening Test of the Series against the Qantas Wallabies.
