Zar Lawrence made his New Zealand Maori debut against the United States in the 2006 Churchill Cup tournament. He is another player who can successfully make the switch from Sevens to fifteens. A former North Harbour representative, Lawrence will play his 2008 provincial rugby for Bay of Plenty in the Air New Zealand Cup. He is affiliated to the Ngapuhi iwi.
