RICHARD KAHUI brings a tremendous amount to every team that he plays for: experience, versatility and defensive strength. He played six Tests in 2011, including five RWC 2011 appearances in which he scored four tries.
Although injury prevented him from taking part in all the Chiefs 2012 Investec Super Rugby games to date, it gave the one-time apprentice builder an opportunity to appear as a comments man for popular Sky Sports preview show Friday Night Football.
Kahui, who can play either in the midfield or on the wing, made a successful comeback from a serious shoulder injury during the 2011 Investec Super Rugby season.
He was called into the All Blacks for their series against Fiji and the Investec Tri Nations.
The talented centre enjoyed a successful year of rugby in 2006, highlighted by his selection for the New Zealand Maori and the New Zealand Under 21 teams.
He then went onto have an outstanding season for Waikato in the Air New Zealand Cup and was the competition's leading try scorer.
