Tanerau Latimer made his debut for New Zealand Maori in 2006 and the young loose forward has proven his exceptional ability in both forms of the game.
Latimer made his Rebel Sport Super 14 debut for the Crusaders in 2006 but in 2007 and 2008 played for the Chiefs.
An exciting talent, Latimer was selected for the New Zealand Sevens team at the age of 17 and went on to play in the 2005 IRB Sevens Rugby World Cup and the Commonwealth Games in 2006.
In 2009 many believed that Latimer would go on to become Richie McCaw's official understudy, and went on to play five test matches as an All Black that year.
In 2010 a solid season with the Chiefs in the Rebel Sport Super 14 saw him earn a nod in Jamie Joseph's New Zealand Maori squad.
