Prior to the Rugby World Cup the situation was reversed, with the Reds and Brisbane still partying after Queensland's maiden Super Rugby crown, while the Wallabies claimed last season's Tri-Nations thanks to a win at Suncorp Stadium prior to the 2011 global tournament.

There was an edge about the All Blacks as a consequence in the semi-final, and captain Richie McCaw expected the same from the Australian team this weekend in Sydney.

"Quite a few of their players didn't have the Super Rugby campaigns they would have liked and I guess after the World Cup last year, there will be a bit of an edge," the All Blacks captain said.

McCaw, who will be looking at extending the All Blacks Bledisloe Cup reign to ten years, said that test matches were all about how well a team got themselves ready for the occassion, and he said that the Wallabies long build up will ensure they were primed for battle.

"They will be ready and we have to be ready as well," he said.
