In a repeat of last year's battle for a Lochore Cup Finals berth, Buller will host Poverty Bay in their Lochore Cup semifinal, while South Canterbury get a touch of deja vu after beating Mid Canterbury 17 - 15 just yesterday, who they will face again in the other Lochore Cup semifinal in Timaru.
It's a grudge match for North Otago who will want to make up for their semifinal loss to East Coast last year when the two sides meet again in another Meads Cup semifinal in Ruatoria. East Coast will fancy their chances having only dropped one match in the competition (against South Canterbury in Round 2) and a strong season including a win against 2011 Meads Cup champions Wanganui - the champions' only loss for the season.
Wanganui will be looking for their seventh straight Final when they host Wairarapa Bush who after a disappointing 2011 season, are the next best performers with a six-two win-loss record.
Meads Cup and Lochore Cup semifinals will be played on Saturday 20 September. Kickoff times are currently scheduled for 2.30pm but subject to confirmation from hosting Unions.
