Guildford to return via bench for Crusaders

crusaders.co.nz and James Mortimer     21 Mar 2013

Guildford is one of four overall changes to the matchday 22, with two changes in the starting XV.

All Black Luke Romano returns at lock following a rib injury while Willi Heinz is named at halfback, forcing Dominic Bird and Andy Ellis to the reserve bench.

Dan Carter will line up against the Kings, but this will likely be his last game in Crusaders colours for a month, after he announced he wouldn't be heading to South Africa and Perth with the team.

Ellis' drop to the bench could indicate he could cover for Carter on tour, resting up before heading overseas as per Aaron Mauger's indications that Ellis would be considered an option to play at first five-eighth.

Guildford takes Adam Whitelock's place in the reserves while Codie Taylor comes onto the bench for Ben Funnell, who is out with a one-match suspension for a dangerous tackle.
