Women's Provincial Championship Week Two review

NZR

allblacks.com and James Mortimer     16 Sep 2013     NZR

It was the red and blacks first win of the season after losing to Auckland in the first week.

Auckland, one of three unbeaten teams so far, were made to work hard against a hard grafting Counties side, that kept in touch with the defending champions via the educated boot of Hazel Tubic, with the Black Fern contributing all of her team's points.

However Manawatu top the table, backing up their impressive first week win over Taranaki with an impressive victory in the capital.

Otago, still to leave the comforts of home, are the other side still to taste defeat, adding Waikato to the Wellington scalp they captured in the opening week.
