The Australian and New Zealand Sevens teams are coming together in this one-off international exhibition match that will be celebrating the Waratahs' home game theme of trans-Tasman rivalry.

New Zealand Sevens Coach Gordon Tietjens said: "Any match-up against our trans-Tasman neighbours is always a great occasion and neither team takes the other lightly. The match also provides a great chance for us to get some game time against a quality opposition before we head off to the UK."

The full New Zealand Sevens squad, as well as Bay of Plenty's Jack Wilson and Waikato's Joe Webber and Johnathon Malo, will travel to Australia for the match. The team to travel to the final legs of the HSBC Sevens World Series in Scotland and England to be played over the following two weekends will be named after the match.

The match kicks off at 3.00pm (AUT) and will be played 10 minutes each way.

The New Zealand Sevens team assembles in Mount Maunganui tomorrow ahead of their departure to Sydney on Saturday afternoon.
