Kahui was bracketed with Patrick Osborne on the bench, but Kahui was declared the final member of the squad today, with Romana Graham also a confirmed member of the replacements.

When the Chiefs played the Reds in Brisbane last year Kahui injured his shoulder forcing another shoulder operation, his fourth in nearly six seasons.

Kahui has signed with Toshiba to play in the Japanese Top League but will see out the 2013 Investec Super Rugby season with the current champions.
