McCaw back in the frame
Richie McCaw, as expected, has been named on the Crusaders bench to make his Super rugby return in Saturday's Investec Super Rugby play-offs game with the Reds at AMI Stadium.
He had been out with an ankle injury suffered during the June international window but will resume his partnership with Sam Whitelock.
McCaw, who played club rugby in Christchurch last weekend, will see his open side replacement for this year's campaign Matt Todd play his 50th Super Rugby game.
Coach Todd Blackadder said: "This season we remain unbeaten at home this is largely due to the enthusiastic and boisterous red and black support we receive every time we play at AMI Stadium.
"With this weekend's game being the last time the Crusaders will play at home during 2013, we encourage fans to don the red and black once more and help us to show the Reds which it is like to play knockout footy at our fortress."
The Reds haven't won in Christchurch since 1999.
