White's return a boost for Brumbies
The Brumbies have been given a huge boost ahead of their sudden-death Investec Super Rugby final against the Cheetahs with halfback Nic White cleared to return from injury.
The classy half is one of three changes to Jake White's starting XV, with Wallaby forward George Smith and winger Clyde Rathbone also returning.
But White's inclusion could be the most significant, with the 23-year-old in brilliant form before his injury to the extent he was an almost certain selection for the Wallabies squad in their British and Irish Lions series.
He will partner Matt Toomua in the halves, with Ian Prior dropping back to the bench.
"I've played with him (White) a lot and we have a good combination," Toomua said on Friday.
"Quade (Cooper) and Will (Genia) talk about how they just know what's happening with each other.
"We're trying to develop that and you kind of feel it out there."
The major surprise for the Brumbies, who head into the finals on the back of a surprise 21-15 loss to the Western Force last weekend, is White's decision to drop Wallaby winger Joe Tomane to the bench.
Asked about the decision, the Brumbies boss said: "Joey probably is disappointed ... he'd obviously like to be in the starting line-up.
"But we pick a team we think can win the game.
"There is no room for sentiment in rugby."
