Still waiting on official funding from New Zealand Government broadcast agency New Zealand on Air, the film will focus on how Donald was called up by All Blacks coach Sir Graham Henry while whitebaiting on the Waikato River.

At first the call was ignored by Donald thinking it might have been a prank, until close friend Mils Muliaina contacted him and asked him to “pick up the damn phone!”

Dan Carter, Colin Slade and Aaron Cruden all went down in action, which led to Donald coming off the bench in the Rugby World Cup Final at Eden Park against France.

Beaver, as Donald is affectionately called, then calmly slotted the penalty kick which would be the difference between the two teams.

Now playing with Bath, Donald told Radio Sport he was surprised that there would be such focus on him.

"It's a little bit bizarre," he said.

"At the start I thought it was a bit outrageous but I guess it's easier to do that than a book. I guess it's something I'll always be able to have."
