Jamison Gibson-Park was 20 when he earned Maori All Blacks selection in 2012 for the European Tour after his slick passing and explosive speed off the mark during the ITM Cup that year attracted the attention of the selectors. He played in all three matches on the tour, coming off the bench against Leicester and Canada.
His impressive speed and consistent performance of the halfback’s duties also earned him a place in the Blues’ Investec Super Rugby squad for 2013. He played 11 Super Rugby games in his debut season under Sir John Kirwan.
Gibson-Park is originally from Gisborne, on the East Coast of New Zealand’s North Island and is affiliated with both Ngati Porou and Ngai Tai iwi.
