A player of the tournament performance at the National Sevens in 2017 saw Andrew Knewstubb catch the attention of selectors.
The young landscaper from Tasman was brought into the All Blacks Sevens camp and went on to play at eight of the ten tournaments that year.
A nippy runner with great acceleration, Knewstubb has developed into a regular selection for the All Blacks Sevens team, and was the Series top point scorer in the 2018/19 season with 309 points.
Knewstubb was part of the All Blacks Sevens team to win Commonwealth Games gold and Seven World Cup in 2018.
He played for Canterbury in the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup.
