Athletic, young lock Scott Barrett broke into the All Blacks ranks in 2016 after several impressive seasons of top-flight rugby.
He joined the All Blacks as an injury replacement for the 2016 Northern Tour, scored on debut against Ireland in Chicago and went on to play all four matches.
In 2017, Scott and brothers Beauden and Jordie were selected for the DHL New Zealand Lions Series, making history as the first trio of brothers to be named in the same All Blacks squad.
He scored his second try for the All Blacks during the record-breaking 57-0 victory against South Africa in Albany. It was one of many highlights for the tallest Barrett, in an incredibly busy 2017, which saw him play 14 matches for the All Blacks, and he has continued in that vein this year.
The 2013 New Zealand Under 20 player was still only 20 when he made his debut for the Crusaders, playing against England during their 2014 tour.
Along with his brothers, Scott attended Francis Douglas Memorial College, the alma mater of All Blacks midfield legend Conrad Smith. He loves getting outdoors and is a keen fisherman, hunter and surfer.
