Six60 band members Ji Fraser and Matiu Walters took Eden Park's Skywalk to announce they will be playing at the Steinlager North v South Match on 29 August.
New Zealand’s favourite band Six60 have announced they will perform a special halftime show at the Steinlager North v South Match at Eden Park on Saturday, 29 August.
The Ford Halftime Show featuring Six60 will see the band treat the crowd to a stirring extended rendition of one of their most popular songs.
Lead singer Matiu Walters and guitarist Ji Fraser visited Eden Park to get a bird’s eye view of the field where they’ll play in front of a crowd that's building steadily as kick off approaches.

Walters and Fraser joined former All Black Josh Kronfeld for a jam on the Sky Sport Rooftop Tour 34 metres above Eden Park’s sun-soaked hallowed turf, and had a foot in both camps when asked about their allegiance to the North or South of Aotearoa.
“We are a band with allegiances in both islands,” Walters said. “Most of us where born and raised in the North, but our opportunities with rugby and music came from the South, so it’s a tough one.”
Not many people will know that Kronfeld once coached Walters when he was a budding young student rugby player in Dunedin and Eden Park has always been a field of dreams to Six60s lead singer.
“We can’t wait to get out there man. There have been halftime shows in the past, but we want to take it to a new level,” Walters said. “Six60 on the halfway way mark! Halftime! The North-South game! It couldn’t get any better!”
More than 32,000 tickets have already been sold to the Steinlager North v South Match with tickets for the family friendly 5.35pm kick off still available from https://www.allblacks.com/tickets/
The match, and Six60s halftime performance, will also be broadcast live and exclusive on SKY Sport.
