TALENTED MIDFIELD BACK Alex Nankivell has shown great consistency at Provincial and Super level, cementing himself as a senior member of the Chiefs at just 23 years old.
Nankivell made his provincial debut for the Tasman Mako in 2015, after being a part of the 2014 Christchurch Boys' High School team that won the South Island secondary schools Final. He has gone on to score 30 points in his 35 appearances for the provincial side.
He earned an Investec Super Rugby contract with the Chiefs for the 2017 season and stepped up to Super Rugby level with ease, with solid defence and clever attacking play. He had another impressive season during the Chiefs’ 2019 campaign, a key member of the side that shocked the Crusaders in Suva.
He has caught the eye of the Māori All Blacks selectors and will be looking to make his mark on the international stage against Fiji.
