CHELSEA ALLEY is a multi-skilled allrounder, equally at home in the No 12 or No 10 jersey.
Strong in contact, with the ability to break the line, and a fine kicker either out of hand or off the tee, Alley has proven herself to be an important Black Ferns squad member since her 2013 debut.
In 2019, she played in all six Black Ferns matches, mainly in the No 12 jersey, scoring a try against Canada in San Diego. Alley now has 24 Test caps to her credit.
In 2014 she also played one tournament for the Black Ferns Sevens.
She has represented three provinces – Auckland, North Harbour and her native Waikato.
As of the end of the 2020 Farah Palmer Cup Season, Alley’s points-scoring capability is exemplified by the fact that her 469 first-class points, from 79 games, rank her fifth on the all-time New Zealand list. Her 44 games and 393 points for Waikato are union records.
She captained the Waikato side to the 2020 Farah Palmer Cup final and much of the side’s play revolves around her generalship and skillset.
