BIOGRAPHY

BORN IN NEW ZEALAND'S north and another All Black raised on a farm, impressive young midfielder Jack Goodhue moved south for his schooling and was educated at Auckland’s Mount Albert Grammar School, where he was Head Boy and Vice Captain of the First XV. His twin brother Josh, who plays lock for Northland and the Blues, was the captain.

The twins led the team to 17 wins out of 20 games in 2013. Jack moved south to study agriculture at Lincoln University and made his provincial debut for Canterbury in 2014.

A serious knee injury the following year cut his season short. He continued his rehabilitation and trained with the wider Crusaders squad in 2016 and made the New Zealand U20 World Cup-winning side and the All Blacks Sevens team.

Goodhue made his Super Rugby debut in 2017 and was called into the All Blacks wider training squad during the British & Irish Lions Series. He took the field for the first time as an All Black in the 28-23 victory against the France XV and made his Test debut against France last year.

When he's not playing rugby or studying, Goodhue is active in his community.
