BIOGRAPHY

Manaaki Selby-Rickit, is no stranger to high performance athletes being the son of former All Black, Hud Rickit and brother to netballers Te Paea and Te Huinga Selby-Rickit.

Clocking in at 2.0m tall, the Highlanders lock is a good lineout target and is considered an athletic second rower.

Selby-Rickit spent the 2019 Mitre 10 Cup season on the side-line recovering from back surgery but returned in full force for the Highlanders in the 2020 Super Rugby competitions.

He was named in the South squad for the North v South match in 2020 and rounded out the season by making his Māori All Blacks debut against Moana Pasifika in Hamilton.

Selby-Rickit moved from Southland to Bay of Plenty for the NPC in 2021.
