BIOGRAPHY

IMPRESSIVE OUTSIDE BACK Shaun Stevenson is back for his fourth campaign with the Māori All Blacks.

He has been a standout for the side, scoring a try on debut off the bench in the 51-9 victory against Canada before crossing the chalk again against USA during last year’s Tour. He is a highly skilled player with a tactical awareness and gameplay that belies his age, reflected in the fact he started in three different positions in the three-match Tour against of USA and South America.

Stevenson began his provincial career with Waikato in 2015 when he debuted against Tasman. He started all 10 games during that season, scoring four tries. In 2016, Stevenson announced he was moving back home to North Harbour, joining the newly promoted Premiership side for the 2017 season.

Lighting up the backline for the Chiefs, Stevenson made his Super Rugby debut against the Crusaders in 2016. In 2017 he won the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens player of the tournament.
